Fifth Ördöngös Folk Music Camp for Children in Kiskunhalas
From 11 to 17 August, 2002
The "Ördöngös" Ensemble from Kiskunhalas organizes a folk music summer camp for children.

Szilády Áron College of the Reformed Church in Kiskunhalas

István Horváth (viola from the Mezőség, piano accordion)

Gábor Újvári (recorder)
Teaching the music and songs of the Dél-Alföld / South part of the Great Hungarian Plain, Dunántúl / Transdanubia, Szatmár, Kalotaszeg, Mezőség and Moldavia.
We will receive recorderist András Hodorog (Klézse / Cleja, County Bákó / Bacau, Romania) for the fifth time. He will stay with us during the whole time, playing music and telling tales.
András Berecz and Béla Halmos will also be our guests for a day.
Other programs:
singing and playing music together, performances and dance.
In free time there is opportunity to do sports, play folk games, modelling with salt-and-flour plasticine and carving wood.
Board: five meals a day.
The camp ends with the participants common performance.
Participation fee: 10.000 forints
Bring your musical instrument and sleeping bag with you!

The double dances of the camp will be the compulsory material of the 16th Festival of Soloists in Békéscsaba!
Music Teaching:
Szászcsávás Band
(There is dance house every evening.)
During the day there will be arts and crafts for children with Ildikó Sándor and experienced instructors - making pottery, weaving, making felt and pearl.
On 9-10 August:
Farewell parties with concerts: evening of traditionalists.
Hosts: Red Rose (Piros Rózsa) group from Kalocsa and traditionalists from Jászberény.
Planned concert: GHIMES Band.
The prices of the camp got stopped at the prices of last year!
For adults: 11.900,- Ft/person, from the age of 6 to 14: 8000,- Ft/person
For groups and circles of friends (over 15 persons) : 8000,- Ft/person.
Till the age of 6: free of charge.
Cost of meals (lunch and dinner): 1000,- Ft/person, in case of claim to the accomodation in a hostel: 1000,- Ft/person.
The deadline of the previous application: 12 July 2002.
The fees include the participation in professional programmes, your camping site - bring a tent with you! -, the use of swimming pool, the material needs of crafts, fees for teachers and instructors and admission to the concerts and dance houses.

Folklore Festival of Minor European Regions
2-6th August 2002, Jászberény
Folklore programmes, international and national dance houses, procession of traditionalists (groups from Gyimes, Moldavia, Transylvania, Felvidék and Vajdaság), festive performance, gala, exhibition, fair and exhibition of crafts.
Admission fee to all prorammes of "Csángó" Festival with camping site (gala, midnight concerts - with Szászcsávás, Dűvő and Csík Bands - evening dance houses, the use of the swimming pool).
From 2 August to 4 August is 4000,- Ft/person (meals individually)
The deadline of the previous application: 12 July 2002.
Admission fees to gala programmes: 1000,- Ft/person, midnight concert and dance house: 400,- Ft/person.

by train, then from the railway station in Tiszalúc by cart and ferry
